Potential Dennis Schroder Trades
First off, I wanted to say this is no way suggesting that Dennis Schroder is the sole reason this Celtics team has been playing below expectations. I have actually been very happy with what I have seen from Schroder at many points this season. His offense has been so important at times when we've lacked shot creators at times. The reason I am suggestion he be traded really boils down to three reasons. One, he is playing on a prove it deal this year and is unlikely to re-sign at the end of this season. So we might as well try to get some value for him as the way it looks right now, we are not looking like serious contenders. Two, the lineup of Smart, Schroder, Tatum, Horford, and Rob has been absolutely brutal this year. This is the lineup we have been running the majority of the time with Jaylen out, and it has been poor mostly because of the reasons I didn't love the Schroder/Smart backcourt pairing this offseason, just no shooting. This lineup has a net rating of -19.6, just flat out bad. With that 5-man lineup out there the Celtics shoot 25% from three, which is certainly not good. That brings us to our last reason, we have two young players that have been getting buried on the bench who have shown the potential to be great floor spacers in Aaron Nesmith and Payton Pritchard. Now I feel like in order to get Schroder moved a team must both think that they are a contender and are in need of a starting or back-up point guard. That really only leaves the Nuggets, Clippers, and the Miami Heat. The Heat unfortunately do not have very many contracts that would make sense to trade in exchange for Schroder so they're out. Now we have the Clippers, if Kawhi is able to return at some point this season they could really be pushing to compete for championship. The addition of Dennis Schroder could certainly help with that. In exchange for Schroder I have a deal that lands Boston an athletic freak.

My last deal I have is involving the Denver Nuggets. This deal involves the Celtics getting a young big and and a 2nd round pick.

Getting Campazzo is just so that the money can work, so we can cut him if the Celtics choose to because he is a free agent at the end of this year. For the Nuggets, they are asking a lot of Jokic, acquiring Schroder will allow them to get another guy who can create for himself as well as setting up others.
